Accounting Specialist - Edison, NJ (Heavy AP)
$50,000-$57,000
Open to 1-2 yrs experience
A company in Edison, NJ is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations. This position involves accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close support, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Post transactions, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Apply customer payments and process credit memos.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with AP/AR, month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support costing, allocations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare reports using Excel and accounting software.
- Work with internal departments to support accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Compensation:
$50,000 - $57,000 , with flexibility for the right candidate.
