Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Opportunity:

Nurse Practitioner - Surgery Cardiothoracic

Job Details:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery, Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Coverage needed 3 weekends per month on an ongoing basis
• Support cardiothoracic surgical patients from urgent surgery and cath lab through ICU to discharge
• Perform vein harvesting as a special procedure
• Manage patient population of adults ages 18 and older
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system
• Work within a hospital setting with surgeon available for backup following consult
• Average callback including rounding is approximately 4 hours per day
• Minimum of 3 years of experience required
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC/LOQ required
• DEA required
• Acute care certificate is NOT required
