As an Actuarial Analyst on the Medicare & Retirement Part D actuarial team, you will be empowered, supported and encouraged to continue your professional development as you solve some of UnitedHealth Group's toughest challenges. Primary Responsibilities Perform data mining and analysis in support of pricing and forecasting assumptions Produce ad hoc studies used to develop pricing strategies Assist in the preparation of quarterly revenue and claim forecasts You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Successful completion of at least 1 actuarial exam Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in MS Excel; working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs Preferred Qualifications 3+ months of internship experience or work experience in a corporate setting Experience working in finance or the health care industry Experience with programming in SAS or VBA Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and use computer software tools effectively Proven positive, motivated and team-oriented attitude Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
