Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Lab Scientist III to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to ensure the delivery of quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in clinical laboratory testing and the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems. Responsibilities * Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. * Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. * Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. * Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. * Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls. * Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Essential Skills * Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology. * 3+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience. * Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications * State Medical Technologist license required * ASCP or AMT certification preferred * Blood Bank experience required Work Environment The role involves working in a laboratory setting where the use of personal protective equipment is necessary to maintain safety. The position may require flexibility in working hours, including overtime or different shifts based on business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
