Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown ICU
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to support our Stepdown ICU. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment, primarily focusing on patients requiring progressive care.
Position Information
- Role: RN
- Specialty: Progressive Care
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: Nights (4 nights per week, 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48
- Weekend Requirements: As needed
- Call Requirements: None
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EKG
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Critical Care
- Float Requirements: As needed
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: Varies
- Patient Ratios: Typical is 4-6:1
- Equipment: Standard nursing equipment typical for a tele unit
- EMR: EPIC
Qualifications
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, and intravenous drips.
- Type of Patients: Predominantly adults requiring medical and telemetry support (50% Medical / 50% Tele).
- Personality Fit: Ideal candidates are team players who prioritize positive patient outcomes and demonstrate superior communication skills.
Overview
This position is designed to provide continuous nursing support in a Stepdown ICU environment, ensuring patient safety and care excellence throughout all shifts. Registered Nurses in this role will demonstrate their skills in handling complex medical needs, including interpreting EKGs and managing critical care procedures.
Auto Offer Guidelines
- Contract Duration: 13-26 weeks
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48, based on candidate preference
- Time Off: Up to 5 days can be automatically approved in each 13-week assignment
- Weekend Expectations: Standard requirement is to work every other full weekend
- Holiday Work: Expectation to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
- Orientation: Night shift orientates on day shift; availability for the entire week is required
