Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized education services to elementary students in a resource setting. This contract opportunity is available immediately through June 11, 2027, and offers a weekly schedule of 32.5 hours, from 7:25 AM to 2:10 PM, with an early release at 1:10 PM every Wednesday. As a Special Education Teacher working with 4th and 5th graders, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and life skills development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in 4th and 5th grades
- Familiarity with or experience in life skills and/or behavior management programs is highly desired
- Resource classroom experience beneficial
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
- Virtual candidates must provide 1099 contract status and maintain liability insurance
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on students’ IEP goals
- Provide behavioral and academic support within the resource setting
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other educational staff
- Develop and implement lesson plans adjusted to student needs and progress
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student performance, accommodations, and modifications
- Partner with families to foster student growth and engagement
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $34-38 for qualified professionals. Comprehensive benefits, including healthcare, are available for W2 on-site contractors.
