Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Equity Partner Location : Remote (Global) Commitment : Minimum 20 hrs/week Reports To : Founder / CEO At Anime Universe, finance is not administrative. It is part of the strategic infrastructure that drives our operations and growth. It defines sustainability, unlocks capital, and enables disciplined global growth. As Chief Financial Officer , you will architect and lead the financial foundation of a global anime, gaming, AI, and technology ecosystem. This role requires executive‑level maturity, technical depth, and the ability to operate confidently with founders, C‑level leaders, boards, external partners and investors. We are seeking a seasoned, hands‑on CFO who combines strategic foresight with operational execution. You will work directly with the Founder and executive leadership to build the company's financial architecture. This includes modelling the business, structuring capital strategy, preparing the company for fundraising, and translating our products and revenue streams into a compelling financial narrative for investors. You will work directly with the Founder and executive team to: Define and execute capital and fundraising strategy Build the company's financial models, forecasts and growth scenarios Establish financial governance, compliance and operational discipline Prepare investor‑facing materials, financial presentations and fundraising documentation Ensure regulatory compliance, tax strategy, and corporate financial structure This is not a symbolic or advisory role. You will actively build, refine, and operate the company's financial infrastructure. Your ability to present clearly to investors, structure capital intelligently, and maintain financial rigor will directly influence enterprise value and long‑term scalability. What You’ll Do Strategic Finance & Planning Lead long‑term financial strategy and capital planning Own FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modelling Develop and maintain institutional‑grade financial models and forecasts Translate company strategy into financial projections and measurable milestones Fundraising and Capital Strategy Lead financial participation in fundraising processes including venture, private equity, institutional, and strategic capital Develop investor‑ready financial models, charts, and presentation materials Present financial strategy and performance to investors and stakeholders Support capital structuring, valuation strategy, and investor engagement Oversight of cap table strategy, equity structuring, and dilution planning Financial Operations and Governance Establish financial controls, reporting standards, and governance frameworks Oversee accounting structure, tax strategy, and regulatory compliance Coordinate with accountants, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities Build scalable financial systems and reporting infrastructure Leadership and Collaboration Serve as a strategic financial partner to the Founder and the executive leadership team Collaborate cross‑functionally with Legal, HR, Operations, Product, and external advisors Provide financial insight to guide key business and growth decisions Mentor and guide finance and operations team members as the organization scales Support the development of a disciplined, financially‑driven decision‑making culture This role requires comfort moving between high‑level capital strategy and detailed financial oversight, including tax, compliance, and reporting. What You Bring We are seeking a proven executive operator who has helped build or scale companies. 15+ years of progressive experience in finance 5+ years serving as CFO or in an equivalent senior finance executive role Demonstrated experience working directly with C‑level executives and boards Proven experience presenting to investors, institutional stakeholders, and external partners CPA, CA, CFA, or an equivalent recognized financial designation (required) Demonstrated experience building or scaling finance functions within growth‑stage or startup environments Advanced expertise in financial planning and analysis, including advanced financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning Strong expertise in corporate tax strategy, filings, and regulatory compliance Experience managing multi‑entity and/or multi‑jurisdiction financial operations Direct involvement in fundraising processes, including venture capital, private equity, institutional capital, or structured financing Experience overseeing audits and preparing organizations for due diligence Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling tools, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear charts, analysis, and investor‑ready presentations Experience within technology, gaming, media, AI, Web3, or high‑growth innovation sectors Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor and guide teams as the organization scales Strong understanding of capital structure, equity planning, and governance Willingness to operate hands‑on in a remote, globally distributed environment We are seeking a senior executive operator who is both strategic and practical, capable of building the financial foundation of a global company.
