Job Description Description Staff Accountant Job Description Summary (Position Description): The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting Accounting Department by handling administrative duties and keeping up with day-to-day procedures. Reports To: Accounting Manager Duties & Tasks Entering and processing company expense reports Freight bill research and reconciliation Assist in period end closing duties Spend 1 day a week supporting Accounts Receivable Training AP and AR Teams Maintain Daily Bank Activity file Maintain offsite documentation storage Support Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable during absences Support Accounting Manager with GL Recons Maintain fixed Asset listing Assist in creating and maintaining accounting department SoPs and training documentation Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks that may be required Who We Are Bitzer Us Inc. is a leading manufacturer of key components used in commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Work Environment This job is performed in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The overall business is a manufacturing environment and at times may have to go into the manufacturing area wear proper PPE is required. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Requirements Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is required. Experience working in SAP is required Accounting Degree or proof of working toward achieving a degree is preferred. Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines. Must be able to handle a high volume of emails and calls. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact well with people.
