Administrative Office Healthcare - Hoag Hospice

Hoag Hospice

Volunteers will provide administrative support to the Bereavement & Volunteer Programs for Hoag Hospice. Some key tasks:

    • Volunteer Coordination Support:
    • Help maintain volunteer personnel files and track required monthly service hours.
    • Assist in assembling training materials for new volunteer orientations.
    • Coordinate schedules for volunteer support gatherings and recognition events.
    • Bereavement Program Assistance:
    • Prepare and mail "packets of care" and bereavement correspondence to families for up to 13 months following their loss.
    • Help organize and promote bereavement support groups and annual remembrance events, such as memorial services.
    • Assist with initial intake documentation and maintaining accurate electronic records for grieving families.
    • Office & Community Connection:
    • Phone support, directing families to the appropriate grief resources.
    • Manage data entry & update records
    • Welcome counseling clients

    • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using basic office software (Word, Excel) and office equipment.
    • Boundaries & Privacy: Committed to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all patient and family matters.

Commitment & Training

    • Time: Ideally 4 hours per week during standard business hours.
    • Training: We provide a comprehensive hospice orientation and role-specific training to ensure you feel confident and supported.
