Description - What You'll Do

• Conduct general and specialized clinical laboratory examinations across various fields-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and others-following established procedures.
• Evaluate test findings for reliability, address any discrepancies, and carry out routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist with the preparation and collection of specimens for analysis when necessary.
• Thoroughly document all processes, mentor new colleagues or students, and ensure quality standards in the lab.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, abiding by regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain certification through your tenure.
