AHRC NYC is holding a series of HIRING EVENTS with on‑the‑spot job offers for Residential Assistant Managers for their Queens IRA and ICF residences. The Residential Assistant Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Residence Manager and other management team members in overseeing all aspects of operation for the community residential program to which he/she is assigned. Event Details Dates & Times : Thursday, June 25th, July 9th, and July 16th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Location : Recruiter will provide the specific address for qualified candidates. Compensation & Benefits Compensation Package : $43,000–$48,000 per year plus overtime when warranted. An additional $750 bonus becomes part of your base salary upon completion and approval of AHRC NYC’s Defensive Driving class if driving is required. The remaining schedule consists of a combination of day and evening shifts; overnight shifts are not required. Essential Responsibilities Assist in maintaining ongoing compliance and quality assurance with state and federal regulations applicable to the facility assigned. Provide direct supervision and guidance to direct support employees assigned to the residence. Collaborate with the Residence Manager to complete mandated written evaluations of staff and participate in any necessary disciplinary actions. Cover staff scheduling as established by the Residence Manager, and provide coverage when schedules change due to staff shortages or emerging resident needs. Ensure the smooth operation of the residence, including adherence to funder and agency policies on house and vehicle maintenance, fire safety, and resident and personnel files. Collaborate with the Residence Manager in planning each resident’s individualized program of services and care, addressing daily and long‑term needs. When overseeing medical services, work with clinical staff to monitor direct care activities related to medical services, maintain electronic and paper medical records, schedule and attend medical appointments, administer medications, and request referrals. Ensure each resident’s basic needs are met, including adequate supply of food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and other personal belongings. Serve as liaison with the Treatment Coordinator to review the quality of active treatment services and expected residential habilitation outcomes. Collaborate with the Residence Manager to formulate and recommend new ideas and outcomes that enhance each resident’s quality of life. Attend and complete mandated and skills‑development training courses, and provide training to staff as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Experience supervising staff in a residential setting is preferred but not required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required. Knowledge of developmental and intellectual disabilities and OPWDD regulations. Willingness to work one day of each weekend. Ability to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing program policies and procedures in a timely and consistent manner. Diplomatic communication skills with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. High school diploma or GED plus at least three years of Direct Support Professional experience at an OPWDD certified residence.
