Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Privado Chiropractic, you will work onsite in a hospital setting that prioritizes teamwork, collaboration, and holistic patient care. Operating Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, we pride ourselves on maintaining a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute individualized physical therapy treatment plans designed by licensed physical therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as electrotherapy, ultrasound, and heat therapy on patients according to established procedures and the patient's Plan of Care.
• Guide patients through tailored exercise regimens, teaching them ambulation techniques, activities of daily living, and the proper use of adaptive equipment.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining ongoing records and progress notes, which are crucial for effective treatment adjustments.
• Assess and refer patients to additional services or practitioners when necessary, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Communicate with supervising therapists to alert them about any patient evaluation needs or concerns in line with state practice laws.
• Engage actively in continuing education and in-service programs to enhance your knowledge of physical therapy advancements and methodologies.
• Encourage a culture of learning by participating in educational offerings that fulfill ongoing licensure and CEU requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will cater to a diverse patient population including post-operative recovery patients, individuals suffering from chronic pain, and those seeking preventive care. Your expertise will play a vital role in guiding these patients towards improved mobility and independence, enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the State of New Jersey is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work efficiently within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred, allowing for familiarity with various aspects of patient treatment in a hospital setting.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team approach is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
