Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages using observational methods and standardized assessments.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that address both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure integrated care approaches.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and their families to promote progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, maintaining continuity throughout the recovery process.
• Ensure that records are kept accurately and in compliance with relevant state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in continuing education and peer discussions to keep abreast of advancements in the field.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
