The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.Provides stress analysis, including finite element models, for aircraft structure, mechanisms, doors, and subsystems. Works closely with Design and Material Review Board counterparts. Provides dispositions for discrepant or damaged parts in production or on fielded aircraft.Basic QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civel Engineering; (does not include Technology degrees such as Mechanical Engineering Technology)Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Previous stress analysis experience including classical hand analysis, automated stress analysis, and finite element model experienceExperience with Material Review Board dispositions, also known as Nonconformance Review, Discrepant Material Board, Corrective and Preventative Action Team, or similarExperience with metallic and non-metallic (including composites) stress analysisDirect experience in aircraft industry (including aerospace related products)Past experience with working independently as well as in a collaborative environmentDesired SkillsExcellent communicator, capable of interpreting engineering and customer descriptions.
