Project Coordinator I

Job Description Hill International is seeking a Project Coordinator I in San Diego, California. Responsibilities Coordinates project under the direct supervision of a Program, Project or Functional Manager. Supports initialization, scoping, execution, and monitoring deliverables at the project level. Follow-up and tracking and documentation of work standards, contractor schedules, work discrepancies, contractor personnel and communications, purposes, and goals of the organization at the direction of Program or Project Manager. Tracks and supports program/technical support operations involving multiple project/task orders and personnel at diverse locations. Tracks planning and execution of all program/technical support activities. Maintains management structure supporting documentation technical support activities. Tracks meeting minutes, arranges meeting schedules, provides support for tracking risk, issues and action items. Monitors inflight procurement requests until goods receipt is complete. Qualifications B.S. in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Business Management or equivalent field; equivalent experience with customer approval. 2-3+ years experience providing direct project coordination support to Program or Project Managers pertaining to construction projects: Electrical/Gas Substation, Compressor, Transmission, Distribution, IT, or Civil projects. CAPM, Agile or other Project Management certifications, training and/or demonstrated experience. Must be able to assess the potential financial impact of a project to the Company. Must possess the ability to review complex problems and propose innovative solutions. Must be able to build solid business cases/project justifications. Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation and reporting skills. Hybrid schedule, Tuesday-Thursday in the office. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$100,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience and work location.
