Bring your expertise in mental health support to a dynamic, student-centered environment. A contract opportunity is available for a credentialed professional passionate about working with middle and high school students with significant behavioral and emotional needs. This position is located near Denver, CO, with a start date as soon as possible and will continue through late May 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct mental health services to students, as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate daily with dedicated program staff to address students’ social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Conduct IEP-related tasks, including comprehensive evaluations, participation in IEP meetings, and IEP development.
• Support up to 30 students in individualized, intensive settings, currently serving a caseload of 23.
• Foster a safe, supportive school culture for a diverse group of learners in grades 6-12, focusing on students who have not been successful in other academic environments.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Service Provider License from the Colorado Department of Education, with a School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement.
• Experience working with adolescents experiencing intensive emotional and behavioral needs, preferably in facility placements, day treatment programs, or similar environments.
• Comfort with on-site roles, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance requirements.
• Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting process.

This is a full-time, school-based position (37.5 hours per week) supporting students at Meridian Academy through the end of the school year.
