Position Summary T-Square Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Department. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will support the company’s daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, project administration, reconciliations, and other accounting functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Accounting Manager while helping maintain efficient accounting processes and providing occasional administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations. Primary Responsibilities Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices accurately and timely. Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts. Prepare weekly check runs and log electronic payments. Accounts Receivable Process customer payments. Project Administration Create new projects within the project management software with precision. Assist with project billing support. Employee Expenses & Time Review employee timesheets and expense reports and assist with follow-up. Reconciliations Assist with month-end reconciliations. Administrative Accounting Maintain business licenses. Assist with audit preparation. Administrative Support Provide backup coverage for the front desk during breaks, PTO, or other scheduled and unscheduled absences. Greet visitors and assist with directing guests and incoming calls in a professional manner. Assist with general office administrative tasks as needed to support daily business operations. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred. Knowledge of accounting principles. Experience with accounting software (Deltek Ajera experience is a plus). Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently.
