Insulation Commandos of Greenville is growing, and we are looking for an  experienced Insulation Crew Chief to lead our field team.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with hands-on insulation experience who knows how to lead a crew, manage a job site, maintain high quality standards, and provide an excellent experience for our customers.

What You’ll Do

As our Crew Chief, you will lead insulation projects from start to finish while working alongside your crew in the field.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead, train, motivate, and supervise insulation crew members
• Assign daily responsibilities and keep the crew productive and on schedule
• Install various types of insulation in attics, walls, ceilings, and crawl spaces
• Safely remove old, damaged, or contaminated insulation
• Perform air sealing to improve energy efficiency and indoor comfort
• Install radiant barriers and other insulation-related products
• Identify and seal openings or penetrations as required by the project
• Load, transport, handle, and maintain materials and equipment
• Review the scope of work before beginning each project
• Ensure work is completed according to company quality standards and project specifications
• Inspect completed work and correct any issues before leaving the job site
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and ensure crew members properly use required PPE
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and other customers
• Document completed work, materials used, job-site conditions, and any issues encountered
• Help develop newer technicians into strong, dependable members of the team

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous hands-on insulation installation experience required
• Previous experience as a Crew Chief, Crew Leader, Lead Installer, Foreman, or similar leadership role strongly preferred
• Knowledge of insulation installation and removal techniques
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a field crew
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in the field
• Knowledge of job-site and construction safety practices
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of each project
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment used in insulation work
• Dependability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field position. Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and carry insulation materials, tools, and equipment
• Work for extended periods while standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and stooping
• Work in attics, crawl spaces, confined spaces, and at elevated heights
• Work in hot, cold, dusty, and varying job-site conditions
• Safely climb ladders and perform physically demanding work throughout the day
