About the Position

We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Massachusetts. The role involves covering shifts from 6 AM to 7 PM or 6 PM to 7 AM, with a preference for four weekend shifts per month and a minimum of two. This inpatient position focuses on providing responding clinician support within a teaching hospital ICU setting, managing bread and butter ICU and Med Surg cases, including some burn patients, and rounding with an attending Physician. The Physician Assistant will not perform procedures such as intubations, lines, or vents.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide responding clinician support within an ICU setting.
• Manage diverse critical care cases, including ICU, Med Surg, and burn patients.
• Conduct morning and afternoon rounds with the attending Physician and complete assigned tasks.
• Duties do not include intubations, line insertions, ventilator management, transplants, ECHO, heads, EVD, complex neuro stroke interventions, or other complex procedures.
