Our culture is built on: Accountability and ownership Respect and teamwork Pride in meaningful work that positively impacts clients' lives Why Join Us Meaningful work helping injured workers secure the benefits they deserve Collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunities for advancement and professional development Leadership that recognizes initiative and strong performance Stable, full-time position with long-term career potential What You'll Do Case Management & File Administration Manage California workers' compensation files from intake through resolution Maintain organized electronic and physical case files Track case status and proactively move matters forward Manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision Litigation & Legal Support Draft pleadings, petitions, advocacy letters, settlement documents, pre-trial conference statements, and legal correspondence Communicate with and assist in fostering client relationships Prepare discovery responses and assist with litigation-related documentation Review medical records, depositions, subpoenas, and supporting case materials Assist attorneys and hearing representatives with hearing preparation and case strategy Calendar & Deadline Management Monitor statutory deadlines and ensure compliance with WCAB procedures and requirements Track litigation milestones, hearings, and filing deadlines Medical & Benefits Coordination Track medical treatment progress and lien issues Identify and designate appropriate Medical Provider Network (MPN) physicians Follow up on medical records, reports, benefits, and outstanding documentation Request supplemental information from physicians when necessary Client & Stakeholder Communication Maintain regular communication with clients, attorneys, medical providers, and outside counsel Gather information and documentation from clients regarding their legal matters Provide professional, compassionate client support throughout the life of each case What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English Strong legal writing and document drafting skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications 2–5 years of California Workers' Compensation experience Applicant-side workers' compensation experience preferred Experience supporting a high-volume litigation practice Familiarity with WCAB procedures, filings, and deadlines The Person Who Will Thrive Here You may be an excellent fit if you: Take ownership of your work and follow tasks through to completion Naturally pay close attention to detail and accuracy Anticipate needs rather than waiting for direction Are compassionate and client-focused Enjoy creating structure, organization, and efficiency Hold yourself to high professional standards Thrive in a collaborative, accountable environment Continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow Compensation Hourly Rate: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience Employment Type Full-Time In-Office Position: Santa Fe Springs, CA Health Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr JC Carter Law APC
