Shift Schedule

• Standard Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

• Schedule Flexibility: Saturday shifts are mandatory during customer-dictated peak weeks. When a Saturday shift is required, your schedule swaps to a Tuesday through Saturday rotation for that week.

• Coverage Requirements: Will cross-train to occasionally cover the night shift strictly on an as-needed basis (e.g., when the night supervisor is on vacation or out sick).

Job Summary


The Transportation Dispatch Coordinator manages the daily scheduling, tracking, and compliance of our dedicated fleet. This role focuses heavily on driver relations, Geotab tracking, route documentation, and seamless communication with both internal teams and our primary customer.


Key Responsibilities

• Driver Relations: Maintain a strong, positive working relationship with driver employees through daily check-ins.

• Route Debriefs: Greet and speak with drivers face-to-face upon their return to ensure a successful end-of-shift.

• Fleet Tracking: Utilize Geotab telematics software to track and monitor internal drivers and equipment in real-time.

• Fleet Management: Coordinate and dispatch internal equipment and drivers.

• BOL Documentation: Manage, organize, and compile Bill of Lading (BOL) work for all completed routes.

• Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate weekly routing and BOL reports to internal management and the customer.

• Supervisor Coverage: Cross-train to confidently step in and cover the night shift operation when the night supervisor is on vacation or sick.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 1-3 years in logistics dispatch, fleet coordination, or driver management preferred.

• Schedule Availability: Fully flexible to work mandatory Saturdays (Tuesday-Saturday shift swap) and periodic night shift supervisor coverage.

• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to build trust and rapport with commercial drivers.

• Software Proficiency: Strong data entry skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and email.
