Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions, facilitating a safe and therapeutic space for clients to express their feelings and address underlying issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Lead group therapy sessions, bringing clients together to share their experiences and learn from one another in a supportive group setting.
\n
• Perform thorough diagnostic assessments, develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, and monitor progress toward therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to coordinate holistic care for clients.
\n
• Document all patient interactions accurately and confidentially using electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to best practices in documentation and privacy regulations.

• Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development activities to enhance your skills and stay current with evidence-based treatments and practices.

• Provide crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and developing crisis management plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse client population experiencing various mental health concerns, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, relationship challenges, and trauma recovery. As you work closely with clients, you will tailor your therapeutic approach to align with their individual backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York is essential.

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience providing therapeutic services to diverse populations, including individuals, families, and groups.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients effectively.

• Sound organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage case loads efficiently.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems and adapting to emerging technologies in mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a community health setting or telehealth environment is a plus.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
