Founding Recruiter

San Francisco, CA (5 days in-office) We're looking for a Founding Recruiter to build and own the recruiting function from the ground up at a fast-growing, AI-native marketing automation platform. This company just closed a Series A and is scaling quickly, having added several new hires in the past two months alone. This is a true founding role. You won't just execute searches, you'll shape how recruiting works, partner directly with founders and hiring managers, and drive hiring strategy across technical and GTM teams. What you'll do Own full-cycle recruiting with heavy emphasis on sourcing and top-of-funnel outreach for passive candidates across engineering and GTM roles Partner with founders and hiring managers to define roles, build job descriptions, and set hiring strategy from scratch Manage and calibrate external recruiting agencies on ideal candidate profiles Build recruiting infrastructure - ATS, interview processes, and documentation Continuously experiment with new sourcing tools and AI-forward workflows to improve the pipeline What we're looking for 2-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience across technical and GTM roles at startups Experience building or owning recruiting at a startup, ideally seed to Series B stage Track record recruiting both engineers and GTM hires Experience managing external recruiting agencies Proficiency with an ATS (e.g. Ashby) and LinkedIn Recruiter, plus sourcing/enrichment tools Comfortable pushing back on hiring managers with data-driven opinionsBased in San Francisco and able to work in-office 5 days a week Top 50 university preferred Compensation: $150K - $225K + competitive equity.
