Job Description About the Role The Category Initiative Lead is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives across assigned categories by identifying growth opportunities, designing scalable commercial programs, and leading cross-functional execution. This role works closely with Category Managers, Campaign, Marketing, Product, Seller Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Regional teams to deliver initiatives that accelerate GMV growth, improve customer experience, and strengthen seller ecosystem performance. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, and execution excellence. Key Responsibilities Category Growth Strategy Commercial Initiative Management Cross-functional Project Leadership Business Performance Analysis Category-Specific Campaign & Commercial Planning Category-Specific Seller Programs Data-driven Decision Making Regional Collaboration & Key Stakeholder Management Job Requirements Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. 5–8 years of experience in: E-commerce, Strategy, Consulting, Category Management, Commercial Planning, Business Development, Marketplace Operations. Experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives. Experience in project management and stakeholder management. Technical Skills Strong analytical capabilities including: SQL (preferred) Excel (advanced) Financial modelling Business case development Forecasting KPI management Business Competencies Candidates should demonstrate: Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify long-term growth opportunities. Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of marketplace economics and unit economics. Analytical Thinking: Comfortable working with ambiguous problems using structured approaches. Execution Excellence: Ability to transform strategy into measurable execution. Customer Obsession: Deep understanding of customer behaviour and shopping journeys.
