We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join an organization in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania in a long-term contract role. This position supports accurate and timely payroll operations for a large employee population while working closely with HR and finance leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with multi-state payroll processing, employee deductions, and payroll systems in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process bi-weekly payroll from start to finish for hourly, salaried, and contract employees across multiple states.
• Review timekeeping records, earnings, tax withholdings, and garnishments to ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain payroll records and support required filings, reconciliations, and year-end reporting activities.
• Assist with benefits administration, including employee enrollment updates, open enrollment support, and invoice review.
• Coordinate payroll-related onboarding tasks by helping new team members complete pay and benefits setup.
• Partner with HR and finance teams to address payroll questions, improve workflows, and support audit-related requests.
• Contribute to compliance efforts involving 401(k) activity, workers' compensation, and other payroll-connected reviews.
• Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll in a high-volume environment.
• Background processing multi-state payroll with strong attention to compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• Knowledge of payroll practices for organizations with more than 200 employees.
• Ability to handle deductions, garnishments, tax updates, and employee payroll changes accurately.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a deadline-driven setting.
• Effective communication skills for working with employees, HR, finance, and leadership.
