Work Environment\n

This is a fully remote position, enabling flexibility and work-life balance. The therapist will engage in telehealth sessions with clients during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ symptoms related to eating disorders and any co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Craft tailored treatment plans based on assessment results, collaborating with clients to set achievable goals for recovery.

• Deliver evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), during virtual sessions.

• Facilitate discussions that challenge clients' distorted beliefs surrounding body image, food, and self-esteem.

• Support clients in developing healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation techniques, and resilience against disordered eating behaviors.

• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic support and an integrated approach to treatment.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to deepen understanding of eating disorders and foster a nurturing recovery environment.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings and case discussions to share insights and enhance collective knowledge on eating disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves clients struggling with eating disorders and their emotional consequences. The therapist will help these individuals not only confront their eating disorders but also discover their intrinsic value beyond their relationship with food and body image. Engaging with diverse client backgrounds, the therapist will address complex challenges and play a pivotal role in their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) in the state of Kansas.

• Proficiency in employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities for treating eating disorders.

• Comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of eating disorders and related mental health conditions.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling is required, candidates with specialized experience in treating eating disorders and expertise in modalities such as CBT, DBT, and ACT will be preferred.
