Work Environment

The selected Physician Assistant will operate on-site at our bustling hospital, alongside a dedicated team of healthcare providers. You will enjoy a structured schedule comprising 40 hours a week from Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. This predictable work schedule allows for a healthy work-life balance while providing the opportunity to make a substantial impact in the lives of our patients during active office hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations on patients to assess their health and medical history.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including bloodwork and imaging studies, to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose ailments and conditions, providing evidence-based treatment recommendations that align with best practices.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patients’ responses to therapies, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Encourage and promote healthy lifestyle choices to prevent disease and improve overall wellness.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored healthcare plans that address both acute and chronic health issues.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base in medical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population that spans a broad spectrum of ages and health concerns. You will handle everything from routine check-ups and preventive care to managing chronic illnesses and urgent medical issues. Your goal will be to create a supportive environment that encourages patients to engage in their health journey, building trust and rapport with every interaction.

Qualifications

• A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C) is essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program, with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies preferred.
• A current DEA registration number is required to prescribe medications.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical, hospital, or urgent care setting.
• Proficiency in primary care, acute care, and chronic disease management.
• Outstanding communication abilities, strong ethics, and the capacity to work within a collaborative team atmosphere.
• Strong clinical judgment, patience, and resilience are essential for managing various patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in one of the following specialties is advantageous: internal medicine, family health, cardiology, or urgent care.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 140,000 and 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
