Senior Accounting Manager

$125,000–$150,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Excellent Benefits I'm partnering with a well-established and growing organization in Western Massachusetts that is looking to add an experienced Accounting Manager / Controller to its leadership team. Reporting directly to the President, this is a highly visible position responsible for overseeing the company's accounting and financial operations while playing a key role in long-term strategic planning. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands‑on accounting responsibilities with financial analysis, forecasting, and business strategy. What You'll Be Doing Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including the general ledger, month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Develop long‑term financial models, cash flow forecasts, and strategic planning analyses to support continued business growth. Oversee the financial management of a growing commercial real estate portfolio, including cash flow tracking, financial reporting, and acquisition support. Review inventory valuation, depreciation schedules, and operational financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity. Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insight, recommendations, and strategic decision support. Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiencies across the finance function. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Experience supporting commercial real estate accounting, property management financials, or acquisition accounting. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build long‑term financial models. ERP experience required; exposure to Quantum Control or similar systems is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner directly with executive leadership.
