A leading global luxury skincare CPG/ retail brand, role based at their Midtown, New York headquarters.
Job Description
Varied responsibilities in this role as Legal Counsel include:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Provide legal advice and support on regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Identify and mitigate potential legal risks across the business.
- Support intellectual property matters, including trademarks and copyright issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address legal concerns and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Manage external legal counsel as needed for specialized legal matters.
- Stay current on changes in laws and regulations affecting the CPG industry.
- Assist in dispute resolution and litigation management when necessary.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Legal Counsel should have:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in the US (ideally NY State Bar).
- Experience with legal matters in the CPG, retail, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
