Bookkeeper

Atlantic Coast Construction Group has one (1) position to fill for a Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager role. This role has significant opportunity to growth with the company. We are a growing commercial construction and General Contracting company seeking an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping functions of our business. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project accounting, and providing timely financial information to management. The Ideal Candidate Will Have 3-5+ years of bookkeeping experience. Experience working in the commercial construction industry. 2+ years of experience preparing AIA G702/G703 pay applications and complete pay application packets. Experience recording AIA pay application revenue in QuickBooks. Experience using Cost Codes / Item list for AP Experience using AP Automation Ai Tools Experience with job costing and project accounting. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop or Online). Experience preparing journal entries, Monthly Closing, and performing account reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks while consistently meeting deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. The ability to work independently while collaborating with project managers and company leadership. Primary Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and on time. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts. Prepare and post journal entries. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Maintain vendor and customer records. Track project costs and assist with job costing. Prepare AIA G702/G703 pay applications and supporting documentation. Record pay application revenue accurately in QuickBooks. Prepare financial reports for management. Support the Controller and management team with accounting and administrative tasks. Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience working for a commercial general contractor or masonry contractor. Experience with construction job costing and project accounting. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
