Our work setting provides a unique blend of telehealth and in-person outpatient services. While you will primarily engage with clients through virtual platforms, our office in Abilene serves as a support hub for necessary face-to-face meetings and consultations. Our team operates with flexible hours, available to clients from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, allowing for various scheduling options to meet the needs of your clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Conscious Therapy & Psychiatric Center, your role includes a variety of essential duties:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and establish tailored treatment pathways.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans with a focus on trauma recovery and resilience building, ensuring each approach is personalized to enhance effectiveness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group settings.

• Facilitate therapy sessions that empower patients to process their experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated care for all patients.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and security for those in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, equipping them with valuable knowledge and resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in regular case consultations and professional development sessions to refine your skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for the Licensed Professional Counselor position possesses the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LPC in the state of Texas.
\n
