Lead Software Engineer, Community & Consumer Banking

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture
• Extensive experience developing core Java (version 8 or higher) with Spring or a similar framework
• Experience with test-driven development using JUnit
• Expert understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multithreaded programming
• Experience with multithreaded, high-throughput, mission-critical, high-performance platforms
• Experience designing and building reusable services
• Experience with enterprise data security and encryption
• Experience with Java Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka, Cassandra, Kubernetes, PowerMock, JMeter, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Jenkins, Sonar, Fortify, Black Duck, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
• Demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, including setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption
• Preferred: Experience developing cloud-native applications, such as on AWS, GCP, or private cloud
• Preferred: Ability to influence architecture and design across distributed systems

• Lead feature design and development, identify new features, and help shape program strategy and direction
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, encouraging inclusive participation in design and development
• Prototype and deliver AI-enabled and agentic workflows, including tool-using agents, orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails; translate stakeholder needs into technical designs
• Mentor engineers and partner with application teams to promote best practices in reliability, performance, risk, cybersecurity, and legal and compliance requirements
