GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma)

Overview We are seeking a GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma) to manage sales performance for our full portfolio across a defined geographic territory. The role focuses on building relationships with key decision makers and influencers, executing detailed targeting and messaging strategy, and supporting transition of care coordination with IDN hospital personnel. Territory Greater Rockville, Maryland area including Chevy Chase, Germantown, Bethesda, Washington DC, Frederick, and parts of Silver Spring, MD. Responsibilities Drive growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts; meet or exceed sales and profit objectives. Educate healthcare providers on benefits of a novel GI therapy within the assigned territory. Understand the GI healthcare environment and execute the selling process in a concise, compliant, professional and persuasive manner. Develop and communicate deep scientific understanding of GI disorders and competitive products. Maintain long‑term business relationships with key accounts and opinion leaders. Implement a territory‑specific business plan and utilize available resources to foster a successful sales environment. Convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to stakeholders. Execute a customer‑centric, needs‑based selling approach. Use sales reporting systems regularly for call preparation, activity tracking and market intelligence. Organize meetings and deliver content on GI and nutrition aligned with account metrics. Conduct promotional programs for professional and patient audiences. Attend local, regional and national meetings as directed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field. Three or more years of medical/clinical selling experience with specialty products, or five or more years of sales experience with clinical experience. Fluency in Microsoft Office. Consistently meet and exceed sales targets. Ability to develop strong business relationships with strategic customers. Solid financial acumen and analytical skills. Experience with CRM data systems such as Veeva or Power BI preferred. 50% or more travel required. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Additional incentives, 401(k) with company match, health care coverage, and other benefits are part of the total rewards package.
