Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of clients.

• Facilitate crisis interventions and develop pre-crisis and crisis plans, including behavioral and medication treatment plans.

• Document all clinical activities, treatment plans, and sessions in a timely and regulatory-compliant manner.
\n
• Employ evidence-based screening and assessment tools recommended by the clinical team to ensure thorough evaluations.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to each client.
\n
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring adherence to state and national regulations.
\n
• Serve as a liaison between clients, service systems, state agencies, and community partners to streamline access to resources.
\n
• Maintain open communication with all stakeholders to meet contract standards and advance the mission of the organization.
\n
• Engage in professional development opportunities such as workshops, conferences, and meetings relevant to the field.
\n
• Represent Long Beach Counseling Services in community outreach initiatives aimed at fostering partnerships and promoting mental health awareness.

• Uphold the agency’s mission, vision, and values in everyday practice, influencing positive organizational culture.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves a diverse client population dealing with various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Clients may also have developmental disabilities or acute brain injuries, all requiring tailored therapeutic approaches. Your role as a counselor will play a critical part in supporting their recovery and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field is required.

• An independent LMHC license is mandatory, demonstrating your qualifications to practice independently.
