Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 1 year in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry License: Active state or multistate nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 1 year of experience in EPIC charting, preferably with telemetry experience. Experience in managing IVs, central lines, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation. Proficiency in geriatric-focused care. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry care. This unit provides telemetry-capable care for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older. The focus is on preserving cognitive and physical function to help patients return to their pre-admission baseline. Staff in this unit include specially trained nurses focused on geriatric care. Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on staffing needs. Candidates should be adept at remote telemetry monitoring and management of heparin protocols. The nurse-patient ratio is typically 1:5, ensuring personalized care. Preferred candidates will have strong experience in Medical Telemetry nursing. Geriatric Resource Nurses and nursing staff are present to support patient recovery and mobility.
