Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Newark, our outpatient office is designed to foster a positive and motivating environment for both patients and staff. You will collaborate closely with a diverse interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring multidisciplinary care for our patients. Regular work hours will generally be from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the occasional need for flexibility to accommodate specific patient schedules and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality based on their specific needs and goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, monitoring their technique and providing feedback to ensure safety and efficacy.
• Educate patients on body mechanics, exercise techniques, and effective home exercise programs to support recovery.
• Utilize various modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and heat/cold therapy, to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Prepare therapy areas and maintain equipment, ensuring that you have the necessary tools readily available for each session.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes healing and engagement.
• Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, prioritizing confidentiality and respect for patients' rights.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred, particularly in outpatient settings.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation environment is highly desirable.
• Exposure to working with a broad patient population including orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric rehabilitation.
• Certification in specialized therapy techniques (e.g., Sports Rehabilitation, Manual Therapy) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
