Key Responsibilities\n

• Coordinate mental health treatment in collaboration with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator, ensuring seamless communication between various teams both inside and outside of the facility.

• Provide mental health in-service training to medical, psychiatric, and security staff, helping to build overall competence in handling mental health crises.

• Intervene in and deescalate mental health emergencies, applying evidence-based techniques to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
\n
• Attend commitment hearings as needed, representing the facility's interests and providing necessary insights into patients' mental health status.
\n
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans and individualized goals for patients, particularly focusing on behavior management and coping skills.
\n
• Document all patient interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and legal requirements concerning medical records.
\n
• Verify previous mental health histories and medication regimens for accuracy in ongoing treatment plans.
\n
• Prepare regular reports detailing treatment outcomes and patient progress, providing visibility into the efficacy of our programs.

• Collaborate with nursing and mental health staff to facilitate successful post-release referrals, ensuring continuity of care.
