Human Resources Recruiter

Pay: $26.79 per hour
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Initial Assignment: 30 days, with potential for extension based on business needs
Projected Start Date: October 5, 2026

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Human Resources Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting and general HR functions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The Human Resources Recruiter will manage the hiring process from candidate sourcing and screening through interviews, offers, and onboarding. This individual will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, maintain candidate pipelines, and ensure a positive candidate experience.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, people-oriented HR professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with candidates and leadership, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding.
• Develop and implement recruitment plans based on current and anticipated staffing needs.
• Source qualified candidates through job boards, applicant tracking systems, social media, job fairs, community partnerships, networking, and other recruiting channels.
• Develop and maintain active candidate pipelines, particularly for high-volume or higher-turnover positions.
• Review resumes and applications to evaluate candidates' experience, knowledge, technical skills, soft skills, and overall qualifications.
• Conduct candidate pre-screening interviews and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify position requirements and hiring criteria.
• Assist with reviewing and updating job descriptions as necessary.
• Ensure consistency throughout the recruiting process, including job postings, candidate assessments, hiring criteria, and candidate communications.
• Serve as a professional point of contact for applicants and newly hired employees.
• Assist with employment offers and pre-employment processes.
• Coordinate and support new-hire onboarding and orientation activities.
• Maintain accurate recruiting documentation, candidate records, and employee files.
• Utilize applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, job boards, social media, and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Track recruiting activity and prepare reports related to candidate flow, applicant sources, hires, and recruiting effectiveness.
• Recommend improvements to recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and overall talent acquisition practices.
• Coordinate temporary staffing needs and communicate with staffing agency partners when necessary.
• Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
• Provide general HR support as needed, including assistance with employee relations, training and development, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Handle sensitive employee and candidate information with discretion and confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following education/experience requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources ; OR
• A combination of three or more years of human resources experience, education, and/or training .

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working within Human Resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or a closely related HR function.
• Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes and candidate sourcing strategies.
• Strong candidate sourcing and screening skills.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS software, job boards, social media, and Microsoft Office 365 .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive candidate and employee information.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws and hiring practices.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to work-related meetings, training sessions, job fairs, and other recruiting activities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing full-cycle recruitment from sourcing through onboarding.
• Experience recruiting for multiple positions simultaneously.
• Experience building talent pipelines for high-volume or hard-to-fill positions.
• Experience working directly with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
• Experience developing recruiting metrics or tracking candidate sourcing and hiring activity.
• Experience supporting onboarding and new-hire orientation.
• General HR experience beyond recruiting, such as employee relations, employee engagement, or training and development.
• Familiarity with employment regulations applicable to nonprofit, community-service, grant-funded, or federally funded organizations is a plus.

Physical & Work Requirements

The position may require the ability to:

• Remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the workday.
• Move throughout office or work locations to access equipment and complete assigned responsibilities.
• Observe information and details at close range.
• Occasionally reach overhead or toward the floor.
• Occasionally move or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Travel between assigned work locations and attend job-related activities, meetings, training sessions, job fairs, or workshops.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required.

Candidates should be comfortable accepting a temporary assignment with an initial 30-day commitment and should be available to begin on or around October 5, 2026.
