Production Cook

Location: Kansas City , Missouri


Summary:

A Production Cook at American Dining Creations will cook meals in large quantities according to menu, recipes, and number of portions to be served, including batch cooking.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare high quality meals in large quantities to be distributed throughout the local school system.
• Measuring, weighing, and preparing ingredients according to recipes and production orders.
• Operating industrial equipment such as tilt skillets and ovens to make food.
• Organize stock by rotating, labeling and properly storing inventory, noting when stock is low.
• Follow safety, quality, and nutrition guidelines to ensure standards are met.
• Maintain an organized workspace by cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work surfaces before and after each batch.
• Record data such as food waste and temperature logs.
• Cleaning up at the end of each shift to prepare for the next day's production including dishes and taking out trash.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Food Service Certificate or Food Handlers Permit
• Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and safe use of knives/knife skills.
• Time management skills, team and task focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communications effectively.
• Ability to understand and meet set standards for health and safety by remaining alert and focused.
• Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and thorough.
• Will be required to work in an environment with frequent periods of moderate to loud noise.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, push and pull, bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk for entire scheduled shift.
