Hiring Department Dean of Journalism Job Description The Missouri School of Journalism is seeking a Business Support Specialist II to provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and fiscal support to the School's 10 Endowed Chairs and Fiscal Officer. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for 10 Endowed Chairs: Curtis B. Hurley Endowed Missouri Chair in Public Affairs Journalism Donald W. Reynolds Chair in Journalism Strategy and Business Operations Missouri Community Newspaper Management Chair Houston Harte Chair in Journalism Knight Chair in Journalism Innovation Lee Hills Chair in Free-Press Studies Leonard H. Goldenson Endowed Chair in Radio and Television Journalism Meredith Chair in Service Journalism Maxine Wilson Gregory Chair in Journalism Research Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW) Chair in Business and Financial Journalism. Provide clerical, project and task support Assist with scheduling meetings and appointments Coordinate and support events and provide onsite facilitation, including campus visitors, engagement events, and student group trips. Fiscal Handle fiscal tasks: coordinate travel, purchase supplies, process bills, contracts and reimbursements, and prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports. Work closely with the School's Fiscal Officer with other fiscal needs. School-wide Provide backup support to administrative professionals. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Attributes Strong organizational, communication and customer-service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism.
