Patient Registrar

Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner. Answer and manage incoming telephone calls. Complete patient registration and admission processes accurately. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage for healthcare services. Calculate and collect patient financial responsibility, including copayments, coinsurance, deductibles. Maintain accurate patient demographics and medical records. Process patient payments and document financial transactions. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. Assist with scheduling and other front office administrative duties as needed. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume healthcare facility, hospital, medical office, clinic, or physician practice. Strong customer service and patient-facing experience. Experience with: Patient Registration / Medical Reception / Insurance Verification / Healthcare Eligibility Verification / Medical Billing Support / Patient Financial Services. Strong computer and data entry skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment. Knowledge of insurance plans, copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Preferred Qualifications Hospital registration experience Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) experience Medical terminology knowledge Revenue cycle or patient access experience Bilingual Spanish Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume healthcare facility, hospital, medical office, clinic, or physician practice.
