Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct supportive therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques.

• Document patient observations and progress notes meticulously, ensuring that all entries are completed by the end of each shift and reflect the patient's progress towards established treatment goals.

• Coordinate with nursing staff to provide therapeutic support under their direction, ensuring seamless patient care.

• Assist in orientating patients and their families to treatment protocols and environment to alleviate concerns.

• Engage in crisis management by promptly reporting any behavioral changes and implementing strategies to de-escalate potential conflicts.

• Advocate for patient needs by connecting them with necessary services and resources within the community.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treatment goals, and employ effective time management skills to prioritize responsibilities throughout the working day.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this position will be on providing mental health services to a diverse patient population. You will work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma-related conditions. Your role will involve not only providing therapeutic support but also helping patients develop coping skills to manage their mental health effectively in everyday life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Must possess an independent license (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) issued by the state board; limited/provisional licenses are not accepted.

• Demonstrated ability to make professional evaluations and treatment recommendations based on comprehensive assessments.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate disposition, essential for patient engagement.
\n
• Strong computer literacy is necessary for documentation and telehealth sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in community mental health settings or teletherapy preferred.

• Familiarity with therapeutic practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
