Work Environment

This position is based in our modern Rehabilitation Center located in Alexandria, Virginia. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment and resources designed to enhance the patient experience. You will work onsite with a collaborative team of healthcare practitioners, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, dedicated to comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic illnesses in an interactive clinic setting.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, utilizing various methodologies such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting treatments and responses within our electronic health records system to adjust plans as necessary.
• Guide patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises, mobility, and self-care to promote independence.
• Participate in team meetings to collaborate on patient care, share insights, and foster a cohesive therapeutic approach.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and seminars that enhance skills and introduce innovative treatment techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We serve a diverse range of patients, from children with developmental disabilities to adults recovering from surgery, chronic pain, or sports injuries. Our therapists are committed to customizing treatment plans that cater to each individual's unique needs and lifestyle, ensuring that every patient receives optimal care and support throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active and valid state license as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients, their families, and team members.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and basic computer applications.
• Flexibility and adaptability in various clinical situations.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy role is preferred, but recent graduates with strong clinical internship backgrounds will be considered.
• Experience working with a varied patient demographic is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
