Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by healthcare providers and develop personalized treatment plans based on sound clinical judgment.
• Implement evidence-based treatment strategies to address various medical conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric issues, and sports-related concerns.
• Provide direct therapeutic intervention, utilizing a range of modalities and techniques to promote recovery and improve patient function.
• Support clients and their families through educational sessions that explain treatment plans and rehabilitation strategies.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal recovery outcomes while aligning with insurance regulations and organizational goals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on the care plans.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient treatments and ensure all records meet state and federal regulations.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service in every interaction with patients, caregivers, and colleagues to foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist in this position will work with a wide-ranging patient demographic, including athletes recovering from injuries, pediatric patients, individuals with chronic pain, and older adults aiming to enhance mobility and independence. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE or APTA accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with patients and their support networks.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of clinical experience in diverse settings, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desirable.
• Prior experience implementing evidence-based practice approaches in patient care.
• Experience in community outreach initiatives that educate the public about physical therapy and wellness.

Compensation and Benefits
