Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to develop a thorough understanding of their mental health needs.

• Provide individualized and family-focused therapy sessions based on each client's specific goals and therapeutic requirements.

• Complete all mandated documentation including billing information, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms within established timeframes to ensure smooth operational functionality.

• Develop comprehensive crisis response plans, safety protocols, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

• Create effective discharge plans that facilitate a seamless transition for clients as they achieve therapeutic goals.

• Adhere to all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as NEHS policies, maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure.

• Participate actively in case consultations and agency meetings, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes learning and sharing best practices.

• Fulfill all licensure requirements and mandatory training to remain compliant with regulatory guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Gulf Bend Mental Healthcare, you will work with a diverse client population, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and families. Our clients often present with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral issues. You will be tasked with tailoring your therapeutic approach to reflect the unique cultural backgrounds and needs of each patient, ensuring that your interventions are relevant and impactful.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related discipline that results in eligibility for licensure.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

• Previous experience providing telehealth or remote counseling services is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
