Lead Site Reliability Engineer, Asset & Wealth Management

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Relevant experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar reliability-focused role, including leading technical initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of operating and supporting production distributed systems, such as Linux, networking, middleware, containers, or cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability practices and platforms, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alert engineering.
• Ability to automate operational workflows using scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Shell, and approaches such as CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Experience supporting or integrating mainframe systems into enterprise operations, including monitoring, incident response, and operational processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to lead reliability improvements across teams.
• Preferred: Experience establishing service- or platform-level SLIs, SLOs, and reliability reporting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with IT service management and incident tools, on-call operations, and operational maturity improvements.
• Preferred: Experience with resilience patterns such as graceful degradation, failover, or rate limiting, and reliability testing such as chaos, load, or performance testing.
• Preferred: Exposure to regulated or high-control environments and operational risk management.

• Lead the adoption and operational use of SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, reliability reviews, and blameless post-incident processes.
• Design and improve monitoring and observability across metrics, logs, traces, and event telemetry to support faster detection and diagnosis.
• Set actionable alerting standards and develop dashboards and runbooks that strengthen operational readiness and reduce noise.
• Advance automation, including self-service, self-healing, automated remediation, CI/CD operational controls, and standardized tooling, to reduce manual work and improve consistency.
• Identify, measure, and reduce operational toil through process optimization, tooling improvements, and platform enhancements.
• Strengthen incident management, including response coordination, escalation paths, and continuous improvement informed by root cause analysis.
• Support capacity planning, performance engineering, and resilience testing to improve availability and service stability.
• Work with application, infrastructure, and operations teams across distributed and mainframe environments to standardize reliability practices and operational controls.
• Contribute to governance and operational excellence through documentation, control evidence where applicable, and operational health reporting.
