Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the Aloha accounting team in Dallas, Texas. This role will support key accounting functions related to fuel operations and requires a strong understanding of industry-specific accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fuel or energy sector, with a background in fuel pricing and complex general ledger (GL) accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage and analyze general ledger accounts, including but not limited to Construction in Progress (CIP), LIFO inventory, and exchange accounting
• Support fuel pricing accounting processes and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and internal/external audit requests
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including operations and commercial teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 25+ years of relevant accounting experience (level commensurate with experience)
• Prior experience in the fuel, energy, or commodities industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of GL accounting, including CIP, LIFO, and exchange transactions
• Experience with fuel pricing or cost accounting highly desirable
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $46.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
