Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong focus on fixed assets to join their growing finance team. Responsibilities include the preparation and review of journal entries related to accruals, operating expenses, revenue, accounts receivable, fixed assets, capital expenditures, depreciation, and inventories. This individual will also provide strategic support and analysis as needed while overseeing the first-level review and instruction of junior staff. The Senior Accountant is a self-motivated, adaptive, and eager learner who can manage and prioritize an evolving workload in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for process improvement and operational efficiency. Essential Functions of the Position Monthly Close Prepare period-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analyses as it relates to owned areas (including but not limited to accruals, operating expenses, revenue, accounts receivables, fixed assets, and inventories) and maintain appropriate SOX documentation and support when required. Fixed Asset Accounting Prepare and review fixed asset reconciliations and ensure subledgers reconcile accurately to the general ledger. Support fixed asset audits and provide schedules, documentation, and analysis as requested by internal and external auditors. Assist with system enhancements and process improvements related to fixed asset management and reporting. SOX Compliance Coordinate with internal and external auditors related to owned accounts and processes ensuring complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests. Process Improvement Help drive the reduction of the close timeline by assessing and streamlining close-related activities. Annual Audit and Quarterly Reviews Support information flow between accounting teams, external auditors, and other internal and external partners. Provide requested support to Tax and Financial Reporting and adhere to external reporting timelines. Other Collaborate with other teams (such as Marketing, Information Technology, and Operations) where required and appropriate.
