Job Description

Job Description

Job Title: Senior QA Test Analyst – Kofax / XRAY / Jira

Location: Atlanta, Georgia - Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL)

Work Arrangement: On-site

Experience Level: Mid-to-Senior Level

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Test Analyst with strong expertise in software quality assurance, test-case design, interface/integration testing, and test documentation.

This role is heavily focused on test strategy, test case authoring, requirements traceability, and documentation , rather than day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable translating technical requirements, system specifications, API interactions, and document-processing workflows into detailed, reusable test scenarios.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with Kofax document capture/automation solutions , Jira , and XRAY , along with a strong understanding of Agile software delivery and system integrations.

What You’ll Do

• Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
• Translate business requirements and technical specifications into clear, reusable test documentation
• Develop detailed test cases for:
• • API integrations
  • web services
  • system-to-system interfaces
  • data exchanges
  • end-to-end integration flows
• Design specialized test scenarios for Kofax capture, transformation, document-processing, validation, and workflow-routing solutions
• Review requirements with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to identify edge cases and testing needs early
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and execution using XRAY and Jira
• Build and maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, and test artifacts
• Review API payloads, component interactions, and technical documentation to identify high-value test scenarios
• Perform limited exploratory or targeted validation when necessary
• Focus primarily on robust test design, planning, documentation, and requirements alignment
• Communicate testing risks, coverage, and gaps clearly to technical and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of software quality assurance experience in an Agile environment
• 4+ years of experience using Jira for issue tracking, requirements alignment, or test management
• 4+ years of hands-on test design experience with Kofax capture and document automation solutions
• 4+ years of experience using XRAY for:
• • test case management
  • execution mapping
  • requirements traceability
• Strong experience designing test cases for interface and integration testing
• Experience testing:
• • APIs
  • web services
  • system-to-system integrations
  • data exchanges
• Ability to review technical specifications, API payloads, and component interactions
• Strong experience writing:
• • test cases
  • test scenarios
  • test plans
  • requirements traceability documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders

Technical Knowledge

Candidates should have a solid understanding of software applications built using:

• Angular on the frontend
• Java on the backend
• Microservices-based architectures
• REST APIs and other integration patterns

Direct development experience is not required, but candidates must understand these technologies well enough to design meaningful test coverage.

Core Tools

• Kofax
• XRAY
• Jira
• API / interface testing tools and methodologies
• Agile / Scrum environments

Ideal Candidate

This role is best suited for someone who is especially strong in test design and documentation , not just test execution.

The ideal candidate is someone who can take a complex requirement, integration flow, or technical specification and turn it into precise, reusable test coverage that clearly traces back to the original requirement.

Candidates who have primarily focused on manual execution without strong test-case authoring, XRAY, Kofax, or interface-testing experience may not be the best fit for this position.

Before You Apply

Please make sure you can answer yes to the following:

• Do you have at least 4 years of software QA experience in an Agile environment?
• Do you have at least 4 years of Jira experience?
• Do you have at least 4 years of hands-on Kofax testing experience?
• Do you have at least 4 years of XRAY experience?
• Have you designed test cases for APIs, web services, and system-to-system integrations?

Reasons to Pause Before Applying

This may not be the right role if:

• Your QA experience is primarily execution-based rather than test-design focused
• You have little or no Kofax experience
• You have not used XRAY extensively
• You do not have strong Jira experience
• You have limited experience testing APIs or system integrations

The strongest candidates will have a clear combination of Kofax + XRAY + Jira + integration test design + Agile QA experience.
