Our company is looking for a Auto Sales Consultant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiates sale closure in a clear, concise, and highly ethical fashion;
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotions;
- Helps facilitate delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirements;
- Helps educate/train new staff members;
- Completes all sales documentation in a comprehensive and accurate manner;
- Maintains current knowledge of all promotions, financing options, value-add products/services, servicing plans, and industry trends;
- Articulates vehicle selection, attributes, model options, features, purchase and finance options, and dealership policies/services;
- Facilitates delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirements;
- Follows up with prospective customers and existing customers to confirm their satisfaction and generate leads;
- Perform some outside prospecting;
- Spends time with customers to determine their needs and discuss vehicle options that fit their needs;
- Learn and train on our proven sales system;
- Make at least ten outgoing phone calls to prospects on a daily basis;
- Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles;
- Provides sales management information by completing reports.
Requirements:
- Negotiation expertise;
- Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality;
- Previous sales experience a plus (any industry);
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills;
- High school diploma or GED required; post secondary education or coursework desired;
- Proven performance in automotive sales desired (avg sales of 15 or more per month);
- Steady work history and the commitment to starting a new career;
- Able to read people effectively;
- Excellent customer service focus;
- Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills;
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player;
- Unrestricted Texas driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm;
- Two to Three years of previous sales experience a plus (any industry);
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.), preferred.
